Workers and managers in professional service industries, considering or pursuing an alternative path to agility.
Applying Kanban at the team level gets your team's invisible work organized, gives people relief from overburdening so that they can get things done with quality and pride of workmanship.
We teach the class with many interactive exercises, games and simulations. We design actual Team Kanban boards in the class. You can take these designs to your office after the class.
The day includes four intensive 90-minute sessions. With proper breaks between the "quarters" as well as the lunch breaks, it takes about eight hours to complete each day's agenda. The schedule doesn't have to be 9 to 5. We adapt to local conditions and shift this eight-hour frame accordingly. Here's the approximate agenda for each of the four class sessions:
Q1 | Introduction to Kanban, core practices and basic concepts |
Q2 | Team Kanban simulation (different scenarios) |
Q3 | Board design patterns, design and refine your own |
Q4 | Feedback loops, limitations of the team-level approach |
This training class is certified by Lean Kanban University as TKP level training. Participants receive standard LKU certificates of completion. LKU awards the Team Kanban Practitioner (TKP) credential to those successfully completed this class.
